Sadie is a beautiful 18 mo fluffy gray tabby with a funny and quirky personality. She was a nervous first-time mama who somehow found her way into a kind widower’s home and had her kittens right in the middle of his couch. After that, they looked at each other and wondered what to do next. They called FFLAR for help and Sadie and her kittens were fostered in an experienced foster home where the foster mom helped bottle feed Sadie’s babies until she got the hang of things. Sadie’s sweet kittens have found great homes and now it is Sadie’s turn.
Sadie has a super sweet personality and trusted her foster mom 100% with her kittens, but she herself is still working on being brave since she was raised in the wild. She is a huge flirt and body rubs against furniture while chirping, asking for ear rubs. She is getting braver every day but still sometimes darts away when you reach for her. We feel that in a quiet, loving home she will absolutely bloom into a love bug once she adjusts and learns to trust her new family.
Sadie gets along well with the other cats in her foster home and bravely ventures out to try to sneak by the German shepherd guarding the stairs. When she gets caught and flees from what the shepherd considers a friendly lunge, she is so funny because she stops in the doorway of the safe room and turns and gives the dog a talking to in no uncertain terms. She would probably prefer a home without big dogs, but once adjusted, we do feel she would hold her own.
Sadie has been spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for any parasites.
Sadie definitely wants to be part of a family, so if you feel you have the right loving and patient home to offer her, please contact her foster mom, Laura, at (540) 272-3506.
