Hi – my name is Peepers (you can call me “Peeps” for short!).  I a little tan and white Chihuahua mix and am 2+ years old.  I came from an overcrowded shelter in California and am I ever happy to be up here in Washington!

Here are a few things you probably want to know about me before taking me home. . . . .  First of all, I get along great with other dogs.  I absolutely love to play and, even though I’m small, I need a lot of exercise (because I also love to eat).   One way I get exercise is by swimming. . . .my foster mom takes me to a nearby pond and I swim and play around in the cattails for hours.   I also adore chasing birds!

 

Second, I love to travel in the car.  Anytime you want to go for a drive and need company, I’m your guy. 

Third, I just can’t seem to get enough attention (which is something I obviously did not get down in CA) so will be more than happy to sit on your lap and give you little kisses – in exchange, you can certainly pet me as much as you want to.

 

Fourth, even though I’m going to love and depend on you, I am very cautious about people I don’t know.  I think I can learn to be more confident around strangers but my new mom (or dad) is going to have to work with me on that. 

 

I think I’d be happiest in a home with a single person or a couple and another dog in the household would be awesome!  I don’t really like to be left totally alone and will bark if I am. 

 

My foster mom thinks I’m going to be a great little dog for someone who’s willing to give me a chance.  In return, I will love you to pieces and will be very loyal.   

Peepers has been neutered, micro chipped, is current on vaccinations including rabies, tested negative for heartworms, and has been treated for fleas and worms.
