Baxter was found near death on the side of a creek, totally saturated and filthy dirty. The passer-by who saw him scooped him up in her coat and rushed him to the vet. Pine needles, dirt and debris were matted into his fur and survival was touch and go for several days. 

Baxter is now very friendly and drools when happy. He purrs and does a little dance when you pet him. We estimate that Baxter is about 10 months old, a beautiful black and white long-haired cat!

Baxter currently resides as the "clinic helper" at Cedardale Neuter & Vaccination Clinic and may be seen there Tuesday through Friday or at outreach at the Mount Vernon Petco store on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. You may also contact Karen at 360-333-7041 or Karen.sorsdal@comcast.net to arrange a time to meet him.

Baxter has been neutered, microchipped, tested (negative) for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, and has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. He would be a wonderful indoor-only addition to any family with a heart for and an interest in being a part of his happy ending! His adoption fee is $110.
