Hi, my name is Mojo. I used to be called Susie, which is okay too. I was given the name Mojo at my current foster home because I seem to have a magic charm about me, and I stride with a wide stance like a big cat. :)
I am about 1 year old, a momma cat who had two kittens a few months ago who were adopted to good homes. Then I was spayed. I’m completely up-to-date with all vaccines and am microchipped. I have also been tested for feline leukemia and feline autoimmune deficiency virus (like the cat version of HIV) and am negative for both. My adoption fee is $130.
I have enjoyed and loved my current foster home in Bellingham very much for six weeks. I am the only four-legged animal here, and there is just one human with me — a very kind and caring man who loves to hike and works on his laptop a lot. (I’m okay with that.) Our home is relatively quiet and peaceful, although I don’t mind music or zoom calls or movies at times. I’ve been here over six weeks and for the first time in my adult life I’ve been able to totally relax and trust a human in every way. I don’t jump at all now at dishes clanking or whatever sharp sounds might happen in a normal day. Of course, it will probably take me a while to get that relaxed in my forever home, but at least now I know what that wonderful feeling is like. I’ll still be a little skittish and hide at first when visitors come inside your home who I’m not familiar with, but I may get more used to that over time. Maybe I’ll start to slowly emerge and observe the visitor from a distance, which I’ve tried once already.
My human here keeps telling his friends I has lots of positive qualities and virtually no negative ones. I agree. :) I’m probably not a good match for a home with active kids, though, or with numerous other animals. There’s a possibility I might be able to be friendly with another cat if you have one already, but I’m not sure. Maybe the cat could be a friendly playmate?
I do have a lot of play energy daily, but I’m happy to independently entertain myself much of the time, checking in for a brief pet or rub occasionally with you. Incidentally, I’m also been called a “cat-dog.” Here’s why (I think): I want to be wherever my main human is. (People are interesting to watch, especially with their strange habits!) I wag my tail for attention sometimes, which seems to almost always work. Believe it or not, I play fetch too! If you throw some of my favorite toys down a hallway or stairs, I’ll race after it and then run back to you and drop the toy at your feet so you’ll do it again!! (Hopefully for dozens of times until I tire out.) Do you think that maybe I could become a famous Internet cat with that? ;) Look over my pictures and you can see how adorable and cute I am, if I must say so myself!
Thanks for reading and considering me. I am an amazing cat for somebody special out there. Maybe you?
