About Mia - LJ

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Black
  • Current Age: 7 Years 1 Month (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: Yes

Sweet Mia is a mama cat who was dumped at a construction site with her kittens.  The construction crew kept an eye out for them and made sure they had food, but the project is wrapping up so they contacted  FFLAR for help.  Their foster mom, Julie, trapped them and is fostering them in her home (yay!), but because she has a prey driven dog, she needs to find a good home for all of them as soon as possible.

Mia was understandably wary at first, but with Julie's love and patience, she has bloomed into a real sweetheart who just wants to be safe and loved.  She likes to be up on Julie's lap getting cuddles and is okay with being held.  If she is this sweet so soon after being in the wild fending for herself and her kittens, imagine how sweet she will be once she has adjusted to  her forever home.

Mia has not been exposed to other cats, dogs or kiddos in her foster home, but we feel she is very adaptable once she feels safe.  She does love her peeps, so would probably do fine as an only child who doesn't have to share lap space.  Both her kittens, Sparky and Seamus, are also available if someone is looking for a mother/kitten pair.

Mia has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated (and boosters) for rabies, FVRCP, FeLV, microchipped and treated for worms, ear mites and fleas, so she is ready to be adopted.

If you think Mia would have a place in your heart and home, please contact Laura at (540) 272-3506.
