JoJo is a beautiful, silky haired, golden eyed lady with a mysterious past, but she's not sharing it with us (yet).  JoJo was a neighborhood stray who kept presenting her yearly litters to a brawny, big hearted veteran who finally heard about FFLAR so this year we were able to take her in and let her have her kittens in a safe environment.  She was very frightened at first, but always a lady, letting us poke and prod without a word nor a scratch.  Though she preferred we handle her as little as possible, she trusted us with her kittens and allowed us to interact with them as much as we wanted.  If we kept them away too long, however, she would finally speak, asking for them back.  It is the only time we have heard her, and even then, her tone was so very polite.  

JoJo's kittens have found great homes and now we hope she can find a patient, loving, guiet home of her own.  JoJo is shy and ducks her head into the side of her bed when we approach her, but she allows us to handle her and is never rude or aggressive.  She does purr when we groom her, but darts off our lap at the first chance.  

We feel JoJo was probably abandoned as a young cat.  She learned how to survive on her own, yet sought out the man who kindly fed her when it was time to wean her kittens each year.  She is on a journey of trust with humans, but she has more road to travel yet.  JoJo is safe in her foster home, but would more likely thrive in a quieter home where she could get more time and attention.
