Percy has had a very rough few years, abandoned by his original owner, fed on and off by neighbors, then taken in by a well intentioned but unsound person who kept him in a carrier for months, sometimes living in his own waste.  When FFLAR became aware of his situation, we were able to rescue him.  Despite being covered in filth, Percy walked out of that cramped carrier with his head held high and greeted us so politely.  He was suffering and malnourished, and our hearts were heavy with concern.  After several baths - again, quite the gentleman through it all - and a healthy, loving environment, he has bloomed into a handsome, friendly guy who will make someone a WONDERFUL, loving companion.

 

Percy is fine with small quiet dogs and other cats, who, perhaps because of his size, make way as he passes.  He is an alpha, but not looking for any trouble.  We do not know if he has been around large dogs or children, but feel he would do great with either or both if well mannered.  He is relatively calm and quiet, but always ready for a great game of chase the feather wand or toss the squeaky mouse!

 

Percy will be a delightful addition to his forever loving home!

 

Percy has been neutered, microchipped, tested for feline AIDS and feline leukemia, is current on vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. His adoption fee is $120, payable in cash or by check only - no cards.
