George was caught out in the area near Dugualla Bay on the way to Oak Harbor; he was people friendly but alone and very scared, and he looked like he had been on his own for a while. He is an indoor kitty now; although he does not have access to the outdoors while in his foster home, he loves spending time in the window looking out. George was tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS and treated for fleas when he came into care and had patches of fur missing. Even once the fleas were dead, it was noted that he was losing a lot of hair and it became obvious that he was pulling his hair out, not just scratching or shedding. With the help of a steroid shot to be sure, the power of pheromones was unleashed (diffuser and calming collar) with great benefit. Once through his 2-week isolation period to ensure he was free of illness, he gained access to much more space and while with other kitties, is unsure around them and prefers to be alone. While it may not end up being the case, it currently seems that George would like to be an only kitty. We do not know how he does with dogs. A super busy and noisy home is also not advised. All of that aside, George is a handsome and super loving kitty who loves had pets and scratches and gives head bumps back. He has a talk although doesn't talk all the time, and is an explorer - meaning he will be up and on things. He loves the window and spends hours watching the outdoors. If you have a heart and space for George, you will get mega-love in return. For more information or to meet/adopt George, please contact foster mom Karen at Karen.sorsdal@comcast.net or 360-333-7041. George has been neutered, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, is current on vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. His adoption fee is $120, cash or check. More about GeorgeGood with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Apartment OK, Affectionate, Intelligent, Gentle
