White Face is a pretty black and white domestic shorthair kitten approximately 4 ½ months of age. She has a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a disorder where the cerebellum of the brain has not fully formed. The cerebellum is the center for gross and fine motor control, balance, and coordination.

White Face’s CH symptoms include some jerky or abnormal movements and head bobbing or tremors. These are more noticeable when excited or anxious, but do not cause her any real concerns. While there is no cure for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, it neither gets better nor worse. A kitten will learn to compensate for his or her condition and will have a normal lifespan. In White Face’s case, the stronger she gets and more she uses her body and muscles, the less obvious her symptoms. She climbs, runs, plays, and uses the litter box without issue.  For more information and support regarding CH and questions, join the Facebook group:  https://www.facebook.com/Complicated-cats-Sanctuary-608906772461712/

White Face is a lover and a player, enjoying people and toys and the company of her littermates. Although not yet exposed to other cats, dogs, or children, her personality suggests she will be fine with all given respectful and patient transitions. She would also be fine as an only kitty with human interaction and attention. White Face loves hair and this might cause some challenges with toddler-ages kids until she better learns not to bite and pull. She often wags her tail when happy and interacting with her human.

White Face and her littermates and mom came into foster care with ringworm, but she has been tested twice with four-week cultures by an outside lab and is free of the fungus. She has not had any upper respiratory concerns or other health issues.

White Face has been spayed, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, is current on vaccinations, and has been treated for internal and external parasites. Her adoption fee is $120.
