Hazel is a 4 mo DSH tortoiseshell (tortie) girl who was rescued by a kind lady from the blackberry hedges near her office. Hazel was understandably shy at first, but she is blossoming into a very sweet natured kitten who looks up at you and meows, but no sound comes out. Too cute! She does love her treats and is easily lured to wherever you may be seated with a shake of the treat cannister. Her foster mom teases her a bit by waiting for that endearing silent meow, which makes her heart melt. Hazel gets along very well with other cats and there is a dog in her foster home, though she is not exposed much to the dog. She would probably do better at this time in a quiet home with no kids, but her temperament is so gentle that, once adjusted to her forever home, she should do well with cat savvy kids. Hazel seems to like the company of other cats, but should also do fine as an only child in the right home. Her sisters, Trina and Ping Pong, are also available for adoption if you are looking for a pair of kittens. She will be a very sweet addition to any home.
Hazel has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated for FeLV and FVRCP, microchipped, and treated for worms, ear mites and fleas.
If you feel that Hazel (and perhaps one of her siblings) would be a perfect fit into your heart and home, please text her foster mom, Laura, at (540) 272-3506.
