Silo is a handsome 6 mo old tuxedo boy.  He is active, playful and curious and bonds well with other cats.  We love how he watches everything we do with great interest and comes to investigate.

Silo was rescued as an older kitten and his mama taught him to be wary of people, so though he is not a scaredy cat who hides, he skitters out of reach when we try to pet him.  He will take treats from our hands, sleep in bed with us, and come running along with his siblings when we go in their room, which is a positive sign that he may eventually let down his guard and discover the joys of pets and belly rubs.

Silo would make a great companion for other cats that need a buddy.  He does well with the small dog that sleeps in his room at night, so we feel he would do fine in a home with well-behaved dogs.  He MUST have a kitty to bond with in his home.

If you are cat savvy, have the heart and patience to finish the journey we started, and have other kitties in your home that need a companion, we feel Silo will really bloom.  We have recently been able to reach out and tickle his toes when he is still sleepy from his nap.  Yay!

Silo does have siblings (Baxter, Dulcie, Butterscotch Budino and Ty Tyke) if you think there may be room in your heart and home for two more waifs.  Baxter and Dulcie are well socialized.

Silo has been neutered, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, has been treated for worms, fleas, and ear mites, and is current on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $130
